Karen Ramos, Managing Director / Head of Distribution and Asset Rotation Americas for Crédit Agricole CIB is Loan syndications and distribution executive with deep and broad experience in Real Assets in the US. Demonstrated track record (over 20 years) in high growth and down markets.
Karen is a global professional having worked and completed projects with international corporations in two continents (North America and Asia) and 10 countries (US, Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong/China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines.
Worked at five financial European and American institutions, in chronological order: Mutual Life of New York (now AXA), GE Capital, ING Group, Capital One Bank, and Credit Agricole CIB, all based in New York City. Her expertise is Loan Syndications and Distribution of Real Assets (primarily Real Estate).
Prior to banking, Karen was a hospitality and leisure consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF) Consulting based in Hong Kong, Singapore, and New York. Early in her career, Karen worked in hotel operations and management at InterContinental Hotels Group and Mega Hotels Management based in the Philippines and Hong Kong, respectively.
Karen is recognized as a leader in the real estate loan market. She has been featured in industry publications and a prolific speaker and moderator at industry conferences/seminars.
Karen has been active in industry associations (top leadership roles) for over ten years:
* incumbent Chairwoman of the National Board of the Real Estate Lenders Association (“RELA”) (1st ever woman in 32 year history) – a non-profit organization with ~700 members across eight chapters in the U.S
* recent past Vice Chair of the National Board
* past President of the New York chapter. * Board Member/Secretary of New York Commercial Real Estate for Women.
* Member of WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (an exclusive, by invitation only, senior women executives association).
Karen was a recipient of the St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters of New York “Women of Valor Award” in 2017.
